Massachusetts Maritime Academy

MMA performs on-going site assessments coordinated with representatives from EDEM Foundation and other non-governmental and governmental organizations using Disaster Risk Management principles, processes and methodologies developed through various emergency management organizations in the US.

Flying high for haiti

Flying High for Haiti is a non-profit organization that takes its name from the Haitian children who enjoy making their own kites from plastic garbage and sticks. The goal of Flying High for Haiti is to empower communities through sustainable development and to provide access to a quality education to children on Ile-a-Vache.

The Ansara Family Fund believes deeply in the role of US international philanthropy, and Jim and Karen Ansara have dedicated their efforts over the years to bringing people together to share their experiences and inspire others to use their resources to create a more equitable and sustainable global future. They are also the founders of Build Health International.

us naval academy

US Naval Academy provides sustainable services to the island of Ile-a-Vache by offering mechanical engineering students the opportunity to design tools adaptable to the island. Tailored for education

Tailored for Education provides school uniforms to children in developing countries where they are required to attend. Partnering with EDEM Foundation, Tailored for Education is providing uniforms to over 1200 children in the south of Haiti.

project teach

Project Teach/Konbit Pwof aims to improve the quality of education in Haiti, in particular the quality of interaction between teachers and students. Every summer, Project Teach travels to Ile-a-Vache to provide teacher's training to over 60 local teachers.

vision care international

Vision Care International has made the dream of surgical eye care on Ile a Vache, Haiti into a reality; performing over 500 eye exams and 54 surgeries in 5 days. Now onto the next phase of quarterly clinics and ultimately turning the program into a teaching clinic.

project picture day

provide school pictures that celebrate the accomplishments and value of students in underserved communities across the globe. Project Picture Day travels to Ile-a-Vache, Haiti every year providing school children an opportunity to take home a professional school picture.
